In a world that teaches us to question what we eat and criticize how we look, reconnecting with our bodies can require extra support. I am here to remind you that the world needs more of you, not less of you. You are allowed to honor your nutritional needs in a way that is authentic to you. And when you learn to tune out the noise of diet culture, you can live a life of peace and trust for yourself instead of a life of rigid rules and self judgment.

What does it mean to be authentically nourished?
Being authentically nourished means eating in a way that feels right for you. This could involve enjoying your favorite foods, embracing cultural dishes, savoring nostalgic flavors, or choosing foods that align with your texture preferences.
For some, authentic nourishment requires structure, while others may intuitively listen to their hunger cues without needing to check the clock. For some, it’s about comfort and self-soothing; for others, it includes avoiding allergens and sensitivities.
Ultimately, authentically nourished means being able to show up as your true self. This state of being allows you to engage genuinely with others, pursue your passions, and live in alignment with your values.
In contrast, diet culture does not want you to be your most authentic self. It wants you to second guess yourself. It wants you to stay small and weak. It wants the focus of your life to be on food and your body. It doesn’t care about your values. And it thrives when you believe that you have no value.
